Skoda Slavia Facelift
Skoda’s vehicles based on the MQB A0 IN platform like the Slavia and Kushaq have performed very well in India. Now, Skoda plans to further upgrade both sedans by adding some innovative features.
The updated model may feature features like a panoramic sunroof, rear disc brakes and 360-degree camera as standard features. Furthermore, Level-2 ADAS could also be included as optional extras.

Skoda’s flagship sedan in India, the Slavia, will receive significant upgrades with its facelift release. This updated model could adopt Skoda’s latest design language and receive slimmer dual-pod LED headlamps featuring boomerang-shaped DRLs as well as an updated rear bumper and new C-shaped tail lamp clusters.
Recently spotted in Pune was a heavily camouflaged test mule similar to what we’ve seen on current generation Slavia models, though with additional chrome inserts in its grille and C-shaped tail light design.
As well as styling changes, the Slavia facelift will likely retain the same engine options currently offered with its sedan model. These engines include a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI petrol engine which produces 114bhp and 178Nm of torque; and 1.5-litre four-cylinder TDI diesel motor produces 148bhp and 250Nm respectively – both connected to either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox for optimal performance.Skoda Slavia Facelift
Skoda’s revised Slavia is expected to compete against models such as Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus and Honda City in terms of pricing and features offered. But should they decide to include significant upgrades like 360-degree camera capability and Level 2 ADAS then it would make for an interesting proposition. Furthermore, an updated model could come equipped with brand new alloy wheels.Skoda Slavia Facelift
Skoda Slavia Facelift | Interior
The new Skoda Slavia Facelift will likely retain the same interior design of its predecessor. This means it will offer features such as a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, two-spoke steering wheel, fully digital instrument cluster, touch-based automatic climate control system with front ventilated seats and cruise control along with wireless charger technology.
The cabin will also receive an update, offering more storage spaces, enhanced connectivity options and possibly a 360-degree camera or Level-2 ADAS to increase safety.
While the front end will resemble that of its current model, it could feature slimmer dual-pod LED headlamps and boomerang-shaped DRLs; its grille will be smaller; while its bumper may undergo minor modifications.
At present, the Slavia competes against Honda City (4th and 5th gen models), Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz and Volkswagen Vento successor (Virtus). It stands as one of the largest sedans in its segment with ample legroom and shoulder room in the rear seats.
The updated Slavia will likely use the same 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol and 1.5-litre TDI diesel engines found on its predecessor model, producing 114bhp with 175 Nm of torque respectively and 250 Nm peak torque respectively. Both will likely be connected to either a six-speed manual gearbox or torque converter AMT gearbox for operation.

Now in 2024, its 2024 version will receive a facelift and some exciting new features to help it remain ahead of competitors.
While much of the test mule remains concealed, we can make out its sleek LED headlamps and revised front bumper. At its rear it has C-shaped LED tail lamps as well as an updated bumper design. Czech carmaker Skoda may also add 360deg cameras or Level 2 ADAS technology for added safety on the Slavia.
Other features found on the Slavia may include a fully digital instrument cluster, touch-based automatic climate control system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, ventilated front seats and cruise control. Additionally, its rear seat provides ample knee and legroom for tall passengers while folding down all rear seats provides up to 1050 litres of cargo capacity in its trunk.Skoda Slavia Facelift
Skoda currently does not offer a diesel version of the Slavia, though this could change in the future. Instead, they should concentrate on making their existing petrol engines more powerful so as to offer buyers with a comprehensive package.Skoda Slavia Facelift
