Ather Rizta | 1. The First Rizta Rolls Off The Line
Ather Electric Scooters (Ather) recently produced their inaugural Rizta electric scooter production model and plans to begin deliveries shortly. This feat came only two months after their initial offering was introduced; Ather Co-Founder and CEO Tarun Mehta shared a picture on social media of this milestone production model from Hosur Plant assembly line.
Rizta stands apart from Ather’s performance-focused 450 series by being designed as a family-friendly scooter. Boasting more mature and subtle design than its counterpart, the new Rizta boasts larger seating capacity as well as increased storage space compared to existing offerings from Ather. Plus it comes equipped with Ather’s SkidControl traction control system, Regen braking, AutoHold mode and 7″ TFT console running AtherStack 6 operating system for added control over every aspect of rider experience!
The Rizta is powered by a PMS electric motor and can reach a top speed of 80kph. Available with both 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh battery packs that deliver a range of up to 105 km on one charge respectively, its top speed can reach 80kph.
Rizta offers three monotone base models and three mid-spec and seven top-end variants; its base model can be found in three monotone colours while mid-spec and top-end models come with 3 and 7 colours respectively. Ather claims the Rizta is more affordable than its rivals while offering an uncompromised riding experience; their innovative aluminium construction, superior performance and flexible pricing strategy aim to redefine urban mobility.Ather Rizta

Ather’s Rizta family scooter was designed and engineered with comfort, convenience and safety in mind. Additionally, its connected features such as SkidControl and WhatsApp integration on the dashboard sets it apart from existing 450 Series offerings from Ather.
Tarun Mehta, Co-founder and CEO of Ather Energy, shared on Twitter an image of the first production unit of Ather Energy’s Rizta that came off its production line. Adorned in Pangong Blue for an eye-catching finish, it features a 2.9 kWh battery pack delivering up to 105 km range; for an extended experience upgrade there is also a higher-spec Z variant equipped with a 3.7 kWh pack providing an extended reach up to 125 km range!Ather Rizta
The Rizta is built upon an all-new platform with a strikingly different design than that found on their existing 450 Series scooters. Competing against electric scooters like TVS iQube and Ola S1 Air as well as petrol-powered options like the Honda Activa, its allure can only increase.
Ather’s all-new platform provides greater storage capacity, and their Rizta vehicle now provides up to 56 liters in total, including 34-liter underseat compartment and optional 22-liter Frunk space. In addition, this underseat storage can come equipped with multi-purpose chargers for charging electronic devices while on the road.

Ather Energy recently unveiled their Rizta range of electric scooters geared towards family customers. Powered by a powerful PMS electric motor, with top-spec variants offering up to 125 km in one charge. Furthermore, Rizta features include WhatsApp integration on its dashboard for reading messages and declining calls without taking out their phones; in addition to support for over 40 voice commands to allow drivers to operate their vehicles with minimal interaction from them.
Ather’s Rizta electric scooter stands out as being significantly larger in appearance, featuring a spacious floorboard which can comfortably fit two people, as well as more storage capacity (34-litre underseat cavity and optional 22-litre frunk).
Rizta scooters also share many key technology features with advanced 450X models. These include a 7-inch DeepView display that can be navigated using joystick controls on its left switch cube, SmartEco and Zip riding modes as well as navigation powered by Google Maps navigation services. In addition, smart parking features make parking simple.
The Rizta from Ather Motors comes with two battery sizes available, with 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh batteries respectively. The former provides an estimated Indian driving conditions (IDC) range of 123 km while its larger cousin boasts 160 km. Both versions feature Ather’s proprietary safety features along with backrests for comfortable travel. Furthermore, both variants can take advantage of its comprehensive fast-charging network.

Ather’s Rizta scooter was created specifically to appeal to families. Competitors include electric models such as TVS iQube and Ola S1 Air as well as petrol-powered models like Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter; it’s cofounder and CEO Tarun Mehta believes it could become an “even bigger story than the 450X”.
The Ather scooter prioritizes comfort and convenience with the largest seat in its class, a spacious floor board, 34 litre under seat storage capacity and 22-litre frunk capacity. Furthermore, Rizta offers smart features like SkidControl and WhatsApp integration on its dashboard for added ease and safety.
There are also other innovations on offer, including a 7.0-inch color TFT dash and Halo’s unifying ride platform which integrates the scooter’s infotainment system and telematics features with rider helmets for seamless connectivity between vehicle, riders and mobile phones.
Ather Rizta will come in two variants, the Rizta S and Z. The former comes equipped with either a 2.9kWh or 3.7kWh battery to meet customers’ range needs; Harman Kardon provides premium audio quality designed to enhance rider experience and make communication simpler when riding.
