iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
Apple’s flagship phones, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are still selling well and make for an attractive upgrade option.
Pro models continue to feature an OLED Super Retina XDR display with 120Hz ProMotion for buttery smooth scrolling, housed in a slim titanium body that’s lighter than previous Pro models.

Apple’s A17 Pro chip, along with customizable Action buttons and USB-C ports are major highlights of this phone in particular. Furthermore, this model of iPhone only exists within the US (other international models still use physical SIMs).iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
The 6.1-inch screen remains unchanged from last year, offering OLED technology with 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate. While we admire its beauty, one enhancement we would love to see would be reduced minimum brightness for more comfortable nighttime reading.
Another unique iPhone 15 Pro feature is its computational photography mode that utilizes quad pixels to produce 12MP images from its 48MP sensor, creating 12MP images without increasing resolution. This provides greater detail without increasing resolution further.
Other features of the iPhone 15 Pro include a more robust Face ID system that can unlock the phone, gain entry to password-protected apps, verify Apple Pay purchases and more. In addition, Portrait mode has been significantly upgraded allowing for real-time adjustment of blur and focal distance so changes don’t need to wait until after taking photos before being made.iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max | Design
Apple kept their Pro models to a compact 6.1-inch screen size as with previous iPhones; however, Apple reduced bezel width by one third for increased on-screen space and narrowness 0.9mm narrower and weight reduction over its 14 Pro model.
Apple’s latest display supports a higher 120Hz refresh rate for silky-smooth scrolling and mobile gaming, known as ProMotion. This feature automatically adjusts its refresh rate based on what’s happening on your device – although I wish that minimum brightness could also be decreased for night use.iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
One of the major changes this year is Apple’s switch from Lightning port to USB-C. This makes repairs much more repairable; though removing glass and working components may still be challenging. Luckily, phones come equipped with braided white USB-C cables which should make replacing parts simpler; unfortunately only supports USB 2 speeds however; for faster transfers you will require a separate USB 3 cable.iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max

One of the iPhone 15 Pro’s signature features is its Action Button, which can launch any camera mode you desire or be configured to silence calls or start video recording.iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
The iPhone 15 Pro offers both main and selfie cameras that are capable of producing 48-megapixel images, but its true power lies at its telephoto end, offering 5x zoom compared to 3x on previous phones such as 13 Pro. Furthermore, Super High Res mode delivers superior images using less pixels.iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
Here are a few photographs taken at 5x zoom, showing off the incredible detail in the cat’s fur, as well as how brighter and clearer the scene appears.
Only available on the iPhone 15 Pro, its special capability of recording 4K ProRes video allows professional videographers to edit and color grade footage later using a computer. Furthermore, log video captures more dynamic range and light than regular footage; though most casual users won’t use this feature often.
iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max | Battery
While the iPhone 15 Pro offers greater performance, its battery life doesn’t significantly improve despite Apple’s new 3nm process A17 Pro silicon and lighter phones.iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
Apple already implemented a battery-optimizing feature into their iPhone lineup, using artificial intelligence to recognize when a phone is no longer being used and interrupting charging until when users begin again using their device. Furthermore, you can choose how often overcharging goes beyond 80% to help extend battery life and preserve lifespan.iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
With the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple finally ditched their proprietary Lightning port and cable for a standard USB-C connector, making life simpler for consumers who switch over. You can ditch old chargers but will require USB-C power delivery adapters to take full advantage of fast wireless charging speeds – we suggest investing in one like the Spigen ArcStation Super Mini which offers compact design yet quickly charges your phone’s wireless charging pad.
iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max | Software
The iPhone 15 Pro features a faster display with adaptive refresh rates based on what you are doing on its screen, with lower 120Hz refresh rates for apps and games, but higher ones when watching videos or reading websites.
Noteworthy changes also include its transition away from Lightning port support towards USB-C, which enables wired data transfers of up to 10 Gbps. This change comes about mainly as part of EU regulation; existing iPhones without this support won’t be affected until next year.
iOS 17 delivers significant upgrades to both Phone and Messages apps as well as quality of life enhancements such as autocorrect, improved Siri access and Shortcuts features that allow users to set specific actions such as checking the weather, recording voice memos or creating music playlists with one simple tap. Furthermore, its Action button lets you set any of these functions easily or any others.
