India have announced their squad for Zimbabwe series and Shubman Gill will captain. Additionally, multiple call-ups were given with Abhishek Sharma and Riyan Parag getting opportunities after outstanding performances in IPL 2024.
Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel will serve as wicket-keepers, while Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar and Khaleel Ahmed have been picked as batsmen.
Zimbabwe Series Captain Shubman Gill
India will host Zimbabwe for a five-match T20I series beginning in July. Shubman Gill will lead India as captain, as skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have both been rested from participating in the ongoing T20 World Cup tournament.
Young talent from Gujarat Titans’ IPL side led by Gill is represented in this team – some earning their maiden call-up for the Zimbabwe tour. Gill boasts an outstanding strike rate of over 90 while also being capable of taking wickets when needed.

India will travel to Zimbabwe for a five-match T20I series beginning July 6. Shubman Gill, who captained Gujarat Titans during IPL 2024, has been appointed captain.

India may take to the field against Zimbabwe with an updated side in their five-match T20I series, according to Ajit Agarkar-led men’s senior selection committee’s expectation that some young talents have been making themselves known and may be picked.
Shubman Gill will lead a side that features several players making their India debuts for the first time, such as Avesh Deshpande, Mukesh Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed who have all performed strongly at domestic level whereas Riyan Parag has made waves with his solid IPL performances – Washington Sundar and Ravi Bishnoi will provide spin options in this lineup.
Zimbabwe Series Rinku Singh

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has named its 15-man T20I squad to face Zimbabwe this month, led by Shubman Gill in Rohit Sharma’s absence and expected to include Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed amongst others.
Riyan Parag was given his debut call-up following an impressive IPL 2024 season and could soon make the squad and secure himself a permanent spot in the national side. Additionally, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan could receive another opportunity to prove themselves worthy.

Reddy scored his maiden T20 fifty and reached 182.
Zimbabwe Series Riyan Parag
Riyan Parag is set to receive his maiden India call-up ahead of their tour to Zimbabwe as selectors recognize those who performed well during IPL 2024. Parag is currently the youngest half-centurion in IPL history.
Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh, Dhruv Jurel, Avesh Khan and Nitish Reddy will also receive their first India call ups during this five-match series which starts on July 6.

Washington Sundar is one of India’s upcoming players and made his debut for Tamil Nadu before going on to represent Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
He enjoyed an outstanding domestic season before making an impressionful showing in IPL 2024 to secure his place in this squad.
This series against Zimbabwe presents young players an invaluable opportunity to showcase their talent while also benefiting from playing against top opposition.
Zimbabwe Series Ravi Bishnoi
With senior players taking a breather ahead of ICC T20 World Cup 2024, this will provide young talent an excellent chance to showcase their abilities in Zimbabwe. Shubman Gill was among several youngster who earned first national call-ups including Abhishek Sharma, Dhruv Jurel and Riyan Parag.
Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed and Mukesh Kumar will spearhead the pace department while Washington Sundar will provide spin bowling depth. Riyan Parag has had an outstanding IPL season; therefore his performance will be crucial for this team.
