The actor took her cue from Sikh Gurudwara weddings and integrated Danish traditions for authenticity and sentimental value, while staying away from renowned designers to maintain privacy during this momentous occasion.

Taapsee Pannu recently tied the knot with Danish badminton player Mathias Boe without posting photos or videos to social media, nor explaining her choice of attire; wearing instead a red salwar kameez rather than traditional lehenga at her ceremony was made public and went viral; Taapsee danced her entry at the Varmala ceremony to Jagjit Singh and Chitra Singh’s Kothe Te Aa Mahiya tune as part of this viral clip.

The actress revealed that her upbringing and attendance of Sikh Gurudwara weddings played a significant role in choosing attire for her big day. She desired an understated affair without late night rituals or unnecessary hoopla; hence why she trusted Mani Bhatia of her college team with designing all her outfits.

Pannu states that she wore a salwar kameez throughout her wedding festivities to give herself the freedom to dance freely, since wearing lehengas would make it difficult for her to keep under wraps during any ceremonies and she didn’t trust well-known designers to design it as it might leak too easily.

Taapsee Pannu and Danish badminton player Mathias Boe recently exchanged vows in a beautiful wedding in Udaipur. She opted for a classic yet simple bridal look: traditional salwar kameez and juttis were combined with light jewelry from her grandmother as part of her ensemble.

Taapsee distinguished herself on her big day by opting for something entirely different: a custom-designed traditional suit made specifically for her. She styled it with an embellished dupatta featuring an eye-catching broad kiran border and matching pyjamas before topping it all off with traditional jewellery and braided hair adorned with parandas.

Taapsee also chose not to work with high-profile designers in order to keep her wedding more private, fearing that doing so would increase the likelihood of her photos being leaked online. Instead, she appointed Mani Bhatia from her friend group as her bridal attire designer.

Taapsee traveled to Denmark with her sister for five days to finalise all fittings of her dress. Taapsee honored the tradition of something old, new, borrowed and blue by including old heels from her wedding ensemble and borrowed pearl earrings from stylist Devki as part of her look as well as embroidering important dates from their relationship with Mathias onto her veil.

Not content to just promote her latest film, the actress is hard at work preparing a sequel to Hawaa Haai Dilruba. Taapsee will star alongside Vikrant Massey, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal in key roles; Mudassar Aziz will direct this year and it is set for release.
