The Redmi 13 5G, Xiaomi’s successor to last year’s budget 5-G smartphone, will debut on July 9th in India. Xiaomi unveiled this device through a video starring Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi and claims it combines stunning looks with lightning-fast 5G performance. The smartphone’s cameras may not be ground-breaking, but they perform extremely well for its price point. The dual-camera setup in back does a fantastic job of capturing details and colors are pretty accurate even in low light shots; wide angle selfies can also be taken using this phone’s front facing cameras. Furthermore, its fingerprint sensor works reliably and unlocks it within a second – another plus point!

On the downside, this phone does experience occasional slowdown and stuttering, as well as having difficulty handling heavy loads like downloading multiple apps simultaneously or being used for prolonged periods of time.Redmi 13 5G

Redmi 13 5G Battery

Redmi 13 5G packs an impressive 5,030mAh battery and offers fast charging at 33W, promising long lasting power performance during our tests.

The handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC built on 6nm technology and featuring eight cores – two high-performance cores and six efficiency cores as well as an integrated Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.

Redmi 13 5G comes equipped with 128GB of native storage, as well as a microSD card slot to expand that amount. Running Android 13 and Xiaomi’s MIUI 14 skin, HyperOS might not be available on this device; however, you will still be able to take advantage of Xiaomi’s extensive library of apps and games.

The Xiaomi Redmi 13 5G scored one leaf out of five in our battery life test, meaning it lasted 39 hours under heavy use – significantly shorter than the Mid Tier average of 48. However, it should still meet most user’s needs and provide exceptional video playback and light web browsing battery life. MIUI’s aggressive app killing may impact notifications but still provides impressive YouTube video playback and light web browsing battery life. With normal usage it should easily last you through one full day; just remember to charge it regularly!
