OnePlus 13
OnePlus 13 is expected to expand upon their current camera capabilities with Hasselblad-backed periscope-style telephoto lens upgrades and 100W charging. Rumors also point towards an even larger battery, 100W charging, and central camera housing design as possible upgrades.
Digital Chat Station’s leaked photos reveal that OnePlus will introduce a bezel-less display with micro-quad-curved glass covering both top and bottom edges of their new phone, offering users a revolutionary user experience. As this marks a first time offering from them, this may prove transformative for some users.
OnePlus 13 | Features
OnePlus 12 was one of the premier Android flagships this year, yet speculation surrounding its successor, the OnePlus 13, continues to circulate. Expectations include enhanced cameras, under-display fingerprint sensors and various other exciting improvements.
OnePlus currently uses an optical fingerprint sensor that measures the reflected echos from your thumb or fingertip to identify patterns and unlock your phone, but for their upcoming flagship OnePlus 13 they plan on switching over to ultrasonic sensors that offer more precise biometric verification.
This type of sensor can penetrate glass, water and any other materials with ease and is more advanced than optical sensors found on most rival smartphones. Furthermore, the new OnePlus 13 may become the first phone featuring water resistance features.
Other upgrades to OnePlus include Google AI integration and faster, more reliable charging speeds. Rumors swirl that the OnePlus 13 could feature the same 5,400mAh battery and 100W wired and 50W wireless charging capacities found on its predecessor; however, performance should increase with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip powering it. Initial leaks suggest it will have a bigger display; initial reports have hinted towards an 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED panel featuring micro-curved edges allowing it to take advantage of BOE’s 4,500-nit brightness screens allowing a better overall user experience overall.
OnePlus 13 | Design
The OnePlus 13 will likely feature a significant design upgrade. It should include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor that will ensure seamless authentication even when users’ fingers are oily or wet; faster and more accurate than previous optical under-display scanners featured on previous flagship phones; as well as having more modern aesthetic with rounded edges and subtle curves.
According to recent reports, the OnePlus 13 will boast an advanced multi-focal camera system featuring a periscope telephoto lens for improved optical zoom capabilities compared to its single camera module on its predecessor (OnePlus 12). Co-developed with Hasselblad, this upgrade should also offer better wireless charging support of 100W wired charging and 50W wireless.
Tipster Yogesh Brar on Twitter shared images that hinted at redesign of OnePlus 13 and 13R devices, with sketches showing changes to rear camera visor designs similar to Oppo Reno 8T phones. He suggested these redesigns may take effect this month.
The OnePlus 13 may feature a quad micro-curved display. This would mark a notable departure from its predecessor’s flat 6.8-inch OLED LTPO AMOLED panel and could add to its ergonomic feel.
OnePlus 13 | Performance
The OnePlus 13 raises the bar when it comes to what a smartphone can accomplish, thanks to its stunning display, powerful performance, versatile camera system and user-friendly software. Ideal for anyone seeking something extra from their mobile experience.
The OnePlus 13 features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC for an outstandingly fluid and responsive user experience, combined with up to 16GB of RAM for seamless multitasking performance. UFS 4.0 storage also ensures lightning-fast read and write speeds, so apps will load almost instantly.
With a 5400mAh battery and 100W fast charging support, the OnePlus 13 provides all-day playback. Furthermore, its ultrasonic fingerprint scanner uses ultrasonic frequencies rather than optical sensors for unlocking devices more securely and accurately than other sensors available today.
The OnePlus 13 features the OxygenOS 14 software, providing a user interface designed specifically for high-performance devices. Furthermore, HyperBoost gaming engine enhances game performance by reducing frame rate fluctuation and speeding up touch response speed to ensure faster gameplay than ever. Enjoy your favorite games more seamlessly than ever!
OnePlus 13 | Price
OnePlus prides itself on offering competitively-priced flagship phones, making them attractive options for consumers looking for premium experiences without breaking the bank. We can expect that its new flagship phone OnePlus 13 should start at around $799 as per previous generations of this device.
The OnePlus 13 could come equipped with upgrades that justify its additional price. For instance, this could include new display technology or more powerful cameras compared to its predecessor OnePlus 12, as rumor suggests this upgrade will go further in improving on what was already an excellent camera system on OnePlus 12.
One major improvement to note is the addition of an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the screen – this offers faster and more secure recognition compared to optical sensors used on previous OnePlus phones. While we don’t yet know whether this will be the only new feature introduced with this update, it certainly makes a welcome difference!
An upgrade to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor could also be in store, given that the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset has become outdated, and OnePlus typically opts for using cutting-edge Qualcomm chips in their flagships.
