Lenovo Legion Pro 5i | DDR5 memory
DDR5 memory offers significant advancements over its predecessor DDR4, particularly when it comes to gaming performance. Furthermore, its lower power consumption and increased throughput contributes to overall system efficiency and battery life improvements. Although DDR5 motherboards will work with DDR5, its performance will be at reduced speed.

Lenovo Legion Pro 5i | Sustainable design
Lenovo’s new lineup of smarter laptops gives gamers everything they need to achieve the impossible – be it professional esports league leaderboard success or an endgame raid with teammates from around the globe. The Legion Pro 5i looks similar to its predecessor, featuring a dark gray chassis and large Legion logo on its lid. It features thin bezels around its 16-inch display; however, one of them thickens slightly in order to accommodate for its webcam that sits centered there.
Lenovo has introduced their “Coldfront: Hyper” thermal solution, using a bottom D-cover to isolate hot air from chips from cool air coming through back vents – optimizing cooling to get maximum performance out of hardware.
The remaining hardware was familiar, featuring a standard gaming keyboard with a numeric pad and four-zone RGB lighting programmability. The keys feel solid and responsive; however, travel distance was somewhat shorter compared to higher priced gaming laptops such as Alienware x15 and Asus ROG Strix.
The Lenovo boasts an excellent array of ports, such as four USB Type-A ports (two with support for USB-C), HDMI, an ethernet port and headphone/microphone combo jack. While Thunderbolt 4 support would have been nice on budget gaming laptops, that feature can often come as an added extra.
