The initial film in the ‘Baahubali’ series left everyone speechless, raising expectations for films with epic ideas and massive scale. Kalki 2898 AD Review Prabhas
Kalki 2898 AD showcases SS Rajamouli’s artistic approach to mythological storytelling with an innovative take, mixing elements from Mahabharata with futuristic science fiction in an epic-scale and visually breathtaking experience that wowed audiences. While some aspects may have disappointed initially, particularly during its initial half, its powerful climax makes up for any flaws or shortcomings in this film.
Amitabh Bachchan’s performance stands out as the highlight of this film. He delivers an outstanding portrayal of Ashwatthama, who has been cursed with immortality and charged with safeguarding Kalki when reincarnating as Kalki. Kamal Haasan excels as Sugrev Yaskin while Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan also stand out amongst a stellar supporting cast.
The climax scene, in which Prabhas takes on Aswatthama is particularly memorable and powerful. Additionally, there are breathtaking action sequences which will leave audiences mesmerised; however, at times the story could have been better developed.Review
