VinFast Electric Vehicles of Vietnam has made waves globally with the launch of their flagship VF e34 Electric SUV model, recently seen being tested in India.
This 4.3-metre C-segment SUV is powered by a 42 kWh battery pack with an estimated 318 km range and right-hand drive configuration.

VinFast of Vietnam has announced their intentions to enter the Indian EV market, beginning construction of their facility in Tamil Nadu and unveiling their inaugural electric car by 2022. A test mule for VinFast’s maiden electric SUV VF e34 has already been seen on Indian roads multiple times.
This C-segment electric SUV will challenge Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 and Kia Seltos when it arrives on our shores. The VF e34 may feature one electric motor capable of producing up to 148bhp and 242Nm torque; with LFP’s battery pack offering an expected range of 318 km per charge.
The vehicle will feature several safety features such as Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, Day/Night Rear View Mirror, Seat Belt Warning as well as Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity as well as multifunctional driver’s display.
Pricing-wise, the VF e34 will come equipped with an innovative battery subscription plan. Regarding safety features, the VF e34 comes equipped with features such as six airbags, an anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control and support for horizontal departure warning. The VF e34 is a C-segment electric SUV designed to compete against vehicles such as Tata’s Nexon EV and Mahindra’s XUV400. Powered by one 110kW electric motor producing 242 Nm of torque, its 41.9kWh LFP battery pack boasts an impressive range of 318 km.
This car can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in under nine seconds and comes equipped with several driver-oriented features, including Level-2 ADAS, twin USB charging ports, auto climate control, connected car technology, high definition instrument cluster and 360 degree camera.
VinFast e34 comes equipped with an intelligent virtual assistant developed by VinBigData, part of Vingroup’s technology ecosystem. This virtual assistant supports multi-regional Vietnamese accent recognition for convenient voice control of various vehicle functions.
Other smart features of the car include auto e-call, intrusion alert and time-fencing; its parking assist system offers audible and visual warning before backing into a space; it can locate charging stations and authorized dealerships nearby as well as monitor battery status/charge history – and help diagnose potential problems while providing tips to avoid them.

The Vietnamese carmaker will launch its first right-hand drive EV, the VF e34, for sale in Indonesia starting June and later this year in Thailand.
VinFast is providing its VF e34 customers with an extended 10-year warranty and battery subscription model, designed to make it more affordable by splitting out the cost of battery use from that of purchasing an electric vehicle (EV). Users will pay a monthly fixed fee to use and recharge it at home or VinFast charging stations – when capacity drops below 70% it will automatically be exchanged without incurring additional charges.
Priced at approximately RM156k, the VF e34 will compete against cars such as the BYD Atto 3, Chery Omoda E5 and MG ZS EV. Measuring 4,300mm long by 1,768 wide by 1,611 high with a 2,611 wheelbase and boasting 165mm ground clearance clearance, it measures 4,300 mm long overall.
