OPPO Reno 12 | OPPO Reno X
Oppo Reno series phones have already made their debut in China and other global markets, but now it will make its way to India via Flipkart microsite. Flipkart microsite confirms their arrival in India while also unveiling some key AI features of each handset.
Both the OPPO Reno 12 5G and Pro 5G smartphones will be made available via Flipkart from Monday. The latter features a 50MP Sony IMX590 sensor with 10x periscope zoom camera capabilities – also making these phones the first smartphones supporting 100W SuperVOOC fast charging technology from OPPO.
As with other recent OPPO phones, the Reno 12 will run Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6, an intuitive Android skin more akin to OxygenOS than what can be found on most other phones. Animations are seamless while customizations are limited compared to OxygenOS; additionally there is an excellent haptic feedback system in place as well.
However, one major drawback to consider when purchasing the Reno is its attractive 6.6-inch OLED display rendering at only 1080p resolution – although this shouldn’t be too much of a bother if you can live without features like notches or hole punches. Furthermore, it comes loaded with extra software you may or may not require, with uninstalling options being straightforward enough should space be needed back for other things.
