BMW India has unveiled their long wheelbase 5 Series version to compete with Mercedes’ forthcoming E-Class LWB later this year. Measuring 5,175mm long, 1,900mm width, 1,520 mm height with a wheelbase of 3,105 mm this stretched sedan measures 5,175 mm long, 1,900 mm width and 1,520 height for optimal driving dynamics.
The exterior design of the LWB variant features familiar elements as well as some distinctive ones to distinguish it as a chauffeur-driven saloon. At its front end are sleek LED headlamps from BMW, an updated kidney grille design and L-shaped rear lights; plus, its distinctive roof line and Hofmeister kink found along its C-pillar remain.
The 5 Series LWB features door panels with bronze insets and an elegant trim finish on windows and wheels, along with BMW’s dual-screen layout featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.9-inch central infotainment display.
