Gangs of Godavari is the latest Telugu rural action drama to hit theaters, directed by Krishna Chaitanya and starring Vishwak Sen, Neha Shetty, Anjali and Nasser as principal cast. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed its soundtrack.
Gangs of Godavari has seen solid success at the box office despite mixed reviews and word of mouth, and Netflix recently acquired digital rights of Gangs of Godavari.

Vishwak Sen recently had his second film release of 2018 with Gangs of Godavari, released on May 31st to mixed reviews from audiences. While not everything about the film impressed everyone, its performances from actors were highly acclaimed. Now, Gangs of Godavari will make its streaming platform debut.
Netflix India South will begin streaming the film “Submission of Combai Temple to Power in Tamil Nadu” starting June 14th, featuring Soori and Vishwak Sen as lead roles. Directed by RS Senthikumar, Submit of Combai Temple features their story as two friends compete for control in Kombai, Tamil Nadu.
Vishwak is an established actor in Telugu film. He made his debut with Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi as an ensemble comedy in 2018 and since then has made appearances in HIT, Falaknuma Das, among others.
Gangs of Godavar | Neha Shetty
Neha Shetty is an esteemed Kannada and Telugu actress. She made her acting debut with Mungaru Male 2, followed by Puri Jagannath’s Telugu movie Mehbooba. In addition, Neha has received drama training at New York Film Academy.
Gangs of Godavari was widely anticipated, yet was met with mixed reviews due to poor writing and only ran for less than two weeks in theaters.
Now, the highly anticipated movie release will make its OTT debut on June 14. Koimoi streaming platform has confirmed that the film will be made available starting June 14 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi dubbed for a wider audience reach. Gangs of Godavari stars Vishwak Sen as Lankala Rathna, an unlikely hero who stands up against powerful individuals. Set during the 1980s in Eluru and Godavari coastal regions, it features Neha Shetty as his love interest while Nasser Ramana plays key roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja provided music for this movie which was bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments.
Though the film earned mixed reviews during its theatrical run, many viewers were won over by its performances by its main cast and director; others even applauded their efforts while critics lamented its weak writing and storytelling.

On 31st May, Rustic Action Entertainment opened in theaters to generally positive reviews; however, its script failed to capture audiences’ imagination; nonetheless, its acting cast were lauded.
Not surprising are movies featuring lesser-known actors being released early on OTT platforms, such as Netflix. But, it was unexpectedly early when Vishwak Sen’s film would make its way onto this streaming service on June 14 in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam versions.

Satyadev-starrer Krishnamma arrived on streaming services just one week after its theatrical release – an unacceptable practice that should end immediately; especially since known actors should get an opportunity to build audiences before leaving cinematic prominence behind.
