Hawke has an exceptional work ethic but also enjoys reading for pleasure – she devours genres ranging from fiction to nonfiction with favorite authors including Stephen King and Toni Morrison among her favorites. Additionally, she loves exploring new places while traveling.
Hawke credits her parents’ support of her acting career with its success, particularly her mother being her best teacher ever. Dyslexia forced her to change schools frequently before making the decision to pursue acting at Saint Ann’s School, a private institution which emphasizes artistic creativity rather than grade work.

Maya Hawke, daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, began modeling early in her career and went on to star in several commercials such as Calvin Klein’s. Additionally, she represented AllSaints 2016-2017 collection as its face as well as appearing in Miu Miu campaigns; most recently making her acting debut in 2017 BBC adaptation of Little Women.

Chaos Angel was produced by Benjamin Lazar Davis and Christian Lee Hutson and features Alex Ross Perry’s music video for its single, “Dark.” She told the Times that she initially assumed Stranger Things fans came simply due to their association, but soon discovered there was genuine overlap between their fan bases.

Maya Hawke has already demonstrated her own acting prowess as she strives to make a name for herself in Hollywood with a cool style.
Hawke made her acting debut in 2017 in the BBC adaptation of Little Women, playing Jo March. Since then she’s become a beloved character on Stranger Things as well as in films such as Ladyworld and Wes Anderson’s forthcoming Asteroid City.
